Dan Berwick | Chief Executive Officer
Prior to becoming CEO of New Leaf Energy, Dan Berwick served as President of the Development business at Borrego. Dan joined Borrego in 2010, and held roles as the company’s Director of Policy and Business Development, Executive Vice President of Strategy and Business Development, and General Manager of Energy Storage. In these roles, he managed policy and government affairs for the company, led several of Borrego’s major expansion efforts, including launching its energy storage business, and then led its independent Development business.
Dan earned his Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s (MIT) Sloan School of Management and his Master of Public Administration (MPA) from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government.
Jacqueline Ashmore | Executive Vice President, Engineering
Jacqueline Ashmore, PhD, is a clean energy and sustainability expert with 15 years of experience in technology, business, and policy. Prior to her roles at New Leaf Energy and Borrego, she focused on engineering solar systems as the Engineering Program Manager at the Fraunhofer Center for Sustainable Energy Systems. Jacqueline received her undergraduate degree in mathematics from the University of Oxford, and her PhD from the Division of Engineering and Applied Sciences at Harvard University. She is actively involved in several nonprofits that work to increase diversity in the clean energy sector, including New England Women in Energy and the Environment (NEWIEE).
Shana Margolis Goldberg | Executive Vice President and General Counsel
Shana Margolis Goldberg is an experienced renewable energy attorney specializing in all aspects of the development of solar and energy storage projects with an expertise in real estate development. She previously held the role of Associate General Counsel at Borrego, where she worked for five years before helping to steer New Leaf Energy through its transition to an independent company. Shana earned her law degree from the University of California, Berkeley, and her bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
Andrew Reed | Executive Vice President, Project Development
Andrew Reed previously held the role of Executive Vice President of Project Development at Borrego. During his 15 years at Borrego, Andrew led the company’s rapid growth into both Distributed Generation (DG) and utility scale markets. Andrew earned his Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Organizational and Environmental Sustainability from Antioch University in New England and his Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Business Administration from the University of New Hampshire.
