An evening public comment hearing in the above-entitled matter is scheduled for Thursday, September 17, 2026, 6:00 p.m. at the Worcester County Library - Berlin Branch – 13 Harrison Ave Berlin, MD 21811, concerning Woodside Solar 1, LLC’s application for a certificate of public convenience and necessity to construct a 5.0 MW solar photovoltaic facility in Worcester Couty, Maryland. The Project is anticipated to occupy approximately 23 acres of a 54.3-acre property located at the intersection of Woodside Lane and Worcester Hwy (State Road 113) in Snow Hill, Maryland and described by Tax Map 0071, Grid 0003, Parcel 0035, in Worcester County, Maryland.
The hearing will begin with a presentation of the Project by the Applicant; followed by a presentation by the Department of Natural Resources (DNR), Power Plant Research Program (PPRP) of its recommendations with respect to the Project; followed by the Technical Staff of the Public Service Commission of Maryland (Staff) as to its recommendations regarding the Project. Thereafter, members of the public will have an opportunity to provide comment on the proposed Project.
If any member of the public is unable to attend in-person but would like to participate virtually, they may sign up through the Public Service Commission of Maryland’s (“the Commission’s”) website https://psc.maryland.gov by September 15, 2026. On the Commission’s home page, scroll down until reaching the section titled “Comment on a Case.” Under that section, click the link for “Learn More.” On the next page, scroll down to the Calendly application. Scroll to the entry for “9825-Woodside Solar 1 (CPCN)” and take the following steps: click the box for “9825-Woodside Solar 1 (CPCN)”; click on September 17, 2026; select 6:00 p.m. and click on “Next”; and enter your name and email address and click “Schedule Event.” You will receive a zoom link for the meeting once you have completed the sign-up process. Otherwise, barring technical difficulties, the hearing will be live-streamed and a recording will be available on the Public Utility Law Judge Division’s YouTube Channel, https://www.youtube.com/@mdpscpuljs327.
Written comments on the proposed Project may be submitted electronically or by first-class mail by September 17, 2026. Instructions for submitting written and electronic written comments can be accessed by going to the Commission’s home page at https://psc.maryland.gov, scrolling down to the section titled “Comment on a Case” and clicking the link for “Learn More.” The instructions can also be accessed via the following link: https://psc.maryland.gov/online-services/file-a-public-comment/.
